What services do you offer?
Physios @ Home offers a variety of physiotherapy services at your home, including post-surgery rehabilitation, orthopaedics (trauma and elective), back injury, general medicine, palliative care, falls rehabilitation and prevention, respiratory conditions, dementia and care of the elderly, chronic pain management, and acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
How can I schedule an appointment?
Scheduling an appointment with Physios @ Home is easy. You can reach us via phone or our online booking system to find a time that suits your availability.
What can I expect during a session?
During a physiotherapy session, you can expect a thorough assessment and personalised treatment plan designed to address your specific concerns. Our therapists will guide you through exercises and techniques aimed at promoting recovery and enhancing mobility.
Will my insurance cover the cost of my physiotherapy?
Many private health insurers and workplace schemes cover physiotherapy. Please check with your insurance company. We can provide receipts or invoices for your claim.
What information should I provide for my initial assessment?
We require any relevant information about your condition, as this will help your physiotherapist to make an informed assessment. Please provide them with as much information as you can, such as X-ray or scan reports, hospital discharge reports, and letters from other health professionals.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
This varies depending on your condition, goals, and how your body responds. Some people see results in just a few sessions; others may need a longer program.
What happens if I require further investigations?
Here at Physios @ Home we maintain communication with your GP to update on your progress. We also have close links with consultants and other healthcare specialists. Should you require any further investigations, your physiotherapist will refer you to the most appropriate healthcare professional for their professional expert opinion.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or rearrange, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer the slot to another patient. Cancellation less than 24 hours notice will result in a cancellation fee.
Please read our cancellation policy.
Do I need to be referred by my doctor?
If you're paying for the treatment yourself, there's no need to be referred by your GP. However, should you wish to use medical insurance, please check your policy, as some insurance companies require a GP referral before covering treatment.
Are your physiotherapists fully qualified and regulated?
Our physiotherapists are all registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Our physiotherapists also all undergo enhanced DBS checks.
